Got a lot done this weekend.

I picked up a couple of stock JK speaker pods that fit in the TJ just fine, so I installed those.

As several of you have seen, I gave up on a radio and just installed a removable quick connect amp and I'll just run my iPod directy into that. Since I didn't need the center console space, I removed the radio and the climate control panels and installed a wire mesh. For right now I have 2 speakers in there driving sound towards me, but I've ordered the shallow mount version of the sub Chris installed in his TJ to mount in my center console. The rig has a nice clean sound and I've already started working on my race playlist for Feb. LOL

I will do a more detailed write up once that arrives, but here's where things stand as of tonight with the temp speakers installed:

I plan on wiring in something more permanent for the iPod dock, but for right now, I just plug this jewel in and "ready go"!

Now what's REALLY been bothering me is my stupid rock lights.

I've chased wires, checked fuses, and gone mad trying to figure out why they don't light up when I flick the switch... so, I finally pulled the switch to see if there was a loose connection or something. THIS is exactly what it looked like when I pulled it:

LOL No wonder it didn't work. When Troy pulled his LED light rack, he must have just ripped all the wires out too.

Anyway, I love my missle switches, so I rewired it tonight with a center console missile switch and guess what?

ROCK LIGHTS! Yeah!!!!!

I know I'm a couple months behind on this comment, but those seats look great with your color scheme. I'm glad I could help connect you with the seller on those. I love the silver and black together on your rig.

Arrrgggg. I thought the CB was hooked up correctly, but alas, it is not. I may need to call in an expert prior to CO since I'm obviously not as smart as three freakin' wires.
